Adult specimens are 2-3 mm in size. The shape of the body is rounded, with six hooked legs, an oval head with two large lateral antennae and a body with hairy growths. The colour is whitish, almost vitrified. These insects are transmitted by direct contact (in poorly cleaned beds, public toilets).
