Adults are 2.5-3.5 mm long and dark brown in colour. They prefer vegetable products such as cereals (wheat, barley, maize, rice), but also flour, bread, pasta, biscuits, dried fruit, dried vegetables, dried vegetables, oil seeds, cocoa, coffee, as well as tobacco and spices. It can infest both loose and packaged foodstuffs.
